During the month of October, Metals (+3.30%) and Livestock (+2.65%) were the top performers. The bottom performers were Grains (-3.63%) and Interest Rates (-3.58%). The Bearish performance in Grains (-3.63%) was led by Soybean Meal (-13.01%) and Soybeans (-7.51%). The Bullish performance in the Metals (+3.30%) sector was led by Palladium (+10.94%) and COMEX Silver (+4.73%). October has traditionally been the most volatile month and this year was no different, especially with the upcoming presidential election. After the conclusion of the election, the FOMC will hold a two day meeting on November 6th and 7th.
