July 2019 Sector & Index Performance

During the month of July, the top 3 performing sectors were: Livestock (3.40%), Metals (1.64%) and Indices (1.51%). Continued scare of African Swine Fever drove up lean hogs, boosting the livestock sector. The bottom 3 sectors were: Softs (-3.78%), Grains (-2.75%) and Energies (-2.31%). Other sectors stayed fairly quiet during the month of July as a result of low volume and anticipated Fed meeting.
